How much contact can you handle? That's the question at Castle of Chaos Haunted House in Midvale, which runs five intensity levels. At one end you hold a glow wand that keeps the monsters back. At the other you can get restrained and separated from your group. Level 4 is 16+ and Level 5 is 18+. FYI: sign the waiver online before you go to save time at the gate.
If you want size, Fear Factory Haunted House is about a mile from downtown and spreads across six buildings, some up to six stories, connected by two underground passages. For families, Frightmares at Lagoon is included with regular Lagoon admission and mixes haunted walk-throughs with no-scare zones. You can even buy a No Scare Glow Stick to keep the ghouls away.
