One big haunt and three walks. That's the Frederick list right now, since only places that posted 2026 dates make it. The haunt is Leech Woods Haunted Trail in Damascus. One admission gets you three attractions: a 30-minute trail with more than 60 scarers, a hayride to a family cemetery and a clown trail you see through "3D Clown Vision." Chainsaws included. Be warned: closed-toe shoes with no heels are required.
In town, Ghost Tours of Historic Frederick walks past Court House Square and a former Civil War embalming station for $17. Heads up: reservations open the Monday before your tour. Over in Hagerstown, the Hager House Ghost Tour runs Oct 16 to 24 only and costs $10, with firsthand accounts of paranormal activity around the park. Pre-register online to hold a spot. And the oddest one is a candlelit cemetery walk in Emmitsburg where actors play saints and get you thinking about death, judgment, heaven and hell. Not your typical ghost walk.
