Two real haunted houses sit right in Colorado Springs, and they're pretty different. HellScream Haunted House is a multi-story mansion with moving floors and a 16-and-up age rule. No heels allowed. The Fear Complex Haunted House is four themed areas under one roof, mining tunnels with cave monsters included, and it uses a virtual queue so you wait in the Midway instead of a line. Both start at $26.

The list is short because only places that posted 2026 dates make it. Of the rest, I'd look at the 31st Annual Ghost Stories of Old Manitou Walking Tours. They're free and lantern-lit, with actors playing real people from Manitou Springs' past. They sell out, so reserve ahead. Got little kids? Boo at the Zoo has trick-or-treating, a haunted house and giraffe feeding. Online tickets are $24.75 for ages 3 to 64.
